Bożena Stachura, today an actress known for many theatre and television roles, recalls that Jerzy Trela was one of the reasons why she decided to study in Krakow.

I went to this school for them, I knew it had to be Krakow. I was brought up on Television Theatre performances in which they played, I went to see their great roles hundreds of times,” confessed the actress in an interview with “The Good Weekly”.

Initially, their relationship was of a professional character, but with time it turned into a cordial friendship

A friendship that lasted despite the age difference

Jerzy Trela and Bożena Stachura had the opportunity to perform together on stage in, among others, the play “Wassa Żeleznowa” at the Och-Teatr in Warsaw. The two remained on friendly terms until the actor’s death in 2022. The generation difference was not a barrier for them. On the contrary, they both drew much inspiration from each other.
