Family connection to Marcin Wójcik

For years, information about the relationship between Urszula and Marcin Wójcik remained unknown to the wider public. It was only in her autobiography that the singer decided to reveal this curiosity.

Ania (Urszula’s cousin – editor’s note) has two sons: Tomek and Marcin, who performs in the cabaret Ani Mru-Mru. On Wikipedia they wrote that I am his grandmother’s niece. We did not boast about it too much, not many people know that we are related – the artist revealed.

Although their professional paths went in completely different directions, in their private lives they are connected by warm, family relations. Wójcik and Urszula often spend time in neighbouring holiday cottages, where they can take a break from show business and enjoy peace and quiet with their loved ones.

Personal tragedies and a new chapter in Ursula’s life

Ursula’s career was gaining momentum in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but at the same time the artist had to face a huge personal tragedy. Her first husband, Stanisław Zybowski, died of cancer. He was not only her life partner, but also the co-creator of many of her musical successes.

We lived, simply. We went about our business, fighting for Stasio’s health. We had a dream house, which, by the way, we were building so that we could live and create in peace and quiet. A place where we could escape to. We had our asylum. And what was happening outside of us was somewhere far away – she recalled in an interview with WP Gwiazdy.

After her husband’s death, Urszula got involved with Tomasz Kujawski, who was 20 years younger than her. From the beginning, their relationship aroused emotions and was widely commented on in the media. With time, however, their relationship began to go through a serious crisis.

Turbulent moments in second marriage

Ursula’s new partner was struggling with alcohol and drug addiction, which led to a moment when the singer had to make a difficult decision.

Tomek was fighting windmills. He desperately tried to prove that he was the right man because he loved me. He tried to soothe these stresses with alcohol, and since he had the money, also with other stimulants: coke, weed or whatever was available. Until finally he lost control. He wallowed in himself and his addictions – she wrote in her autobiography.

Kujawski eventually took up the fight for himself and decided to seek treatment in a rehab centre. As a result, he was able to recover and his relationship with Ursula survived the difficult period.
