Working at Wersow – a dream or a challenge?

Wersow, or Weronika Sowa, is one of the most popular Polish influencers. Her perfectly created image makes many dream of working in her team. One such person was Monika Muratova, who for several years accompanied Wersow in her professional and private projects. However, the relationship, which over time took on the characteristics of friendship, turned out to be complicated and affected the further fate of their collaboration.

Lowest country and lack of support

In an interview in the podcast `Blanka Tikhoruk All in White’. Monika revealed details of her work, including her salary and the difficulties of pricing her work.

I didn’t even have anyone to talk to about it, how to price myself. I was earning the lowest wage in the country, where they wrote: `For holding a phone, everyone would like to earn 10 thousand’. Maybe if I was earning 10,000 I would last longer. I’m joking, of course, but we know that money is motivating – she confessed.

Speculation and misunderstandings

There had been speculation for some time as to why Monica’s collaboration with Wersow had ended. The former assistant vehemently denied that her intention was to reveal her former boss’s secrets or to ‘pull dirt’.

People accused me afterwards that I was pulling things out and so on. I just didn’t want to say anything in that interview, I still don’t. I would more like people to know my perspective, but I’m absolutely not vindictive or malicious to pull dirt on someone. It doesn’t give me that sense of power.

Too close a relationship a problem?

Monica stresses that it wasn’t just professional issues that were the problem, but also the dynamic relationship between her and Wersow. Over time, their acquaintance became so close that it began to breed tensions.

Veronika let me into her life, the cluster. We inevitably became friends, and it’s hard to reconcile work with such a friendship when you have to stand in the position of the boss. I understand this distancing as much as I can, but it took place in such a parabola that it made me very confused. It was difficult not to go crazy. That kind of accusation, and something that I think might have hurt her a lot, and I understand it perfectly at this point, was that I had befriended her friends. I think that might have hurt her the most – she admitted.

Backstage of the breakup and hiding emotions

Muratova revealed that the official narrative about the end of her collaboration with Versova did not reflect the whole truth.

I, even when I was leaving, said positively that we parted in agreement, which was not true, and I think people already know this very well, but I did not expect such an attitude from Veronika. […] That sentence with the lying was about my mental health. I simply alluded to the fact that we trust people who lie repeatedly, and when a new situation arises or just something that lies more to us not to delve into the subject, we believe it blindly – she confessed.

She refutes the allegations and accusations against her former boss Muratova, emphasising that her main aim was to share her own perspective, not to attack Versova. Nonetheless, Monica’s story sheds new light on the realities of working for top influencers and shows that behind the glamorous world there are often complicated relationships and emotional dilemmas.
