In an interview with `High Heels'. Szelągowska admitted that she does not cope well with the visible effects of the passing of time. She speaks openly about the difficulties associated with the changes in her appearance.

Interior designer Dorota Szelągowska will soon be 43 years old. The host of “Total renovations by Szelągowska”, “Home revolutions” or “Dorota Was urządzi”, admitted in an interview with “Wysokie Obcasy” that she does not yet accept the changes associated with the passing of time.

Szelągowska confessed in an interview for “Wysokie Obcasy” that the changes are bad for her mood:

‘It’s getting to me more and more strongly that I’m getting older. I feel as if I have become transparent. […] I feel nightmarish about it. You know how I hate myself sometimes! I stand in front of the mirror and say to myself: `What do you look like? An old woman with a belly and tattoos’.

She recently openly said on Instagram that in her 20s she thought old age started in her 40s:

Because you know how I used to be scared of old age? Yes, at the age of 20 I was convinced that old age starts after forty… (…) And now how I’m living like this at the epicentre of a midlife crisis, which should be called apogee, not crisis.

Some time ago, the designer referred to the passing of time in an interview with Mateusz Gladki on Good Morning TV:

‘I feel old and measure myself at the moment with the kind of injustice that is in the male-female world. Men who are in their 40s start to look great. A woman at a certain point becomes transparent, falls out of circulation.
