Italian chic at the TOP CHARITY 2023 gala – see how the celebrities enjoyed themselves at WACH 2023.

This year’s Grand Charity Auction was characterised by Italian Baroque. It was perfectly composed with the interiors and green areas of the Wilanów Palace Museum, where a 2500 m2 art installation was set up for this special occasion, whose richness of ornamentation transported the attendees back to the 16th century. Guests unanimously expressed their admiration for the baroque garden, the crystal room where a real coach stood, and the exquisite menu prepared by chef Sebastian Kornacki.

When asked about the behind-the-scenes of the organisation, Omenaa Mensah said:

To appreciate our donors and truly transport them to the Baroque era, we opted for world-class quality and hired the best specialists in this part of Europe. Before the design work began, I took the entire design staff on a joint tour of the King John III Palace Museum in Wilanów to plan the scenography down to the smallest detail and faithfully reflect the atmosphere of the era. Our guests also made a nod to the Wilanów Palace by wearing Baroque-style costumes for the ball.

Work on the entire event lasted 10 months, with a team of 1,500 specialists working on its organisation

.

The set design and details in the interiors were taken care of by Art Director & Set Design Katarzyna Konkowska. The task of the organiser and those involved was to convey the character of the era as well as possible. To this end, Omenaa Mensah benefited from the knowledge and experience of world specialists: the Slovakian set designer Boris Kudlička and the French designer Michael Coorengel, who specialises in the Baroque. The producer of the gala, on the other hand, was Hubert Pudzianowski, and the costumes of the service reflecting the character of the era were taken care of by Katarzyna Śródka. Omenaa Mensah entrusted the direction of the gala to Maciej Sobociński, who has worked with world-famous stars, including Will Smith and Rihanna, and has extensive experience in international projects. During all the work, Paweł Jaskanis, director of the Wilanów Palace, provided expert support to the entire team.As Omenaa herself emphasises :

’I am a perfectionist and the satisfaction of the guests who donate to our aid activities is most important to me.’ Rehearsals for the event took several days to make sure everything came out perfectly. And it did! This was my bow to my guests, because quality is an expression of respect.

The gala was hosted by Anna Kalczyńska and Mateusz Hładki, and the charity auction of works of art was hosted by Dorota Wellman, Jacek Piotrowski of Dom Aukcyjny Polswiss Art and Bartek Jędrzejak. The evening was graced, among other things, with demonstrations by Tomasz Barański’s Next Dance group, performances by a string quartet and the Tarkowski Orchestra conducted by Jacek Tarkowski. A musical surprise was a concert by the band Alphaville, who performed their greatest hits on stage.

Guests at the Great Charity Auction included Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan and Radosław Majdan, Ewa Chodakowska and Lefteris Kavoukis, Edyta and Cezary Pazura, Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Małgorzata Foremniak, Barbara Kurdej-Szatan, Rafała Zawierucha and Beata Wiśnicka-Zawierucha. The gala also featured Anita Lipnicka and Mark Gray, Katarzyna Zielińska and Wojciech Domański, Łukasz Jemioł, Patricia Kazadi, Sandra Kubicka, Gosia Baczyńska, Katarzyna Zdanowicz and Magdalena Pieczonka.

The invitees did not disappoint with their stylings. Each in their own way interpreted the leitmotif, the effects of which can be admired in our gallery. What can we expect next year?
